Thursday May 14, 7pm
SFU Harbour Centre

Canada under Stephen Harper is becoming ever more involved in the widening new wars of the Middle East and wider region. When we need it more than ever, the media’s coverage of international issues is woefully inadequate. Join us for this talk by David Barsamian, a leading commentator and media analyst on global affairs.

Admission by donation. Arrive early, space is limited.

About The Speaker:

One of America’s most tireless and wide-ranging investigative journalists, David Barsamian has altered the independent media landscape, both with his weekly radio show Alternative Radio – now in its 29th year – and his books with Noam Chomsky, Eqbal Ahmad, Howard Zinn, Tariq Ali, Richard Wolff, Arundhati Roy and Edward Said. His latest book of interviews with Noam Chomsky is Power Systems: Conversations on Global Democratic Uprisings and the New Challenges to U.S. Empire.  His best-selling books with Chomsky have been translated into many languages.
